Inter-Corporate Challenge

The Bond & Beyond Challenge is an Inter-Corporate Tournament, more than just a competition, it’s an opportunity for companies to strengthen their teams, enhance collaboration, and create lasting memories.

Spread over 3 months (January – March 2026) in an inter-company knock-out format, the competition starts with a 3-hour training (MQA approved, refundable by HRDC), with content such as importance of communication, team cohesion, creativity and problem solving. Cost per participant: Rs 15,000 (Up to 70% refund by HRDC). Each team comprises 15 participants.

How Does It Work?

64 companies will compete in a 3-month (27 January – 27 March 2026) inter-company knockout tournament.

Every week, four teams will compete, with one team emerging as the weekly winner. The semi-finals will take place on 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th of February 2026.

A grand finale will be held on 27th of March 2026 to determine the company that excels in teamwork, demonstrating the ultimate team-building success and winning a trip to Rodrigues.

FAQ

1. Who can participate in the tournament?

All companies are welcome to participate, but places are limited. Secure yours now!

We encourage teams to be comprised of a balanced mix of male and female colleagues to promote diversity and inclusivity during the tournament.

Whilst the activities are designed to be engaging and accessible, companies are required to ensure that their participants are fit and have the required health clearance.

Go to the registration page on the website and complete the sign-up process. You’ll need to submit details for all 15 participants and pay a registration fee of Rs 15,000 per participant (MQA approved, HRDC refundable up to 70%).

Your team’s participation fee cover tea breaks and lunches during the whole duration of the tournament as well as team building training at the preliminaries.

The tournament will kick-off with a draw whereby the 64 registered companies will be split into 4 Pools: A, B, C, & D, i.e, 16 companies per Pool.

The Preliminaries:

Week 1 to Week 4: 

  • Each week, 4 companies from a pool will compete in a knock-out tournament where only 1 will qualify for the semi finals.
  • At the end of week 4, the 4 semi finalists of Pool A will be known.
  • The above process will be followed for subsequent periods of 4 weeks for Pools B, C & D.
  • At the end of week 16, there will be 16 semi finalists (4 from each Pool).

The Semi Finals:

Week 17:

  • The 4 semi finalists of Pool A will compete in a knock-out tournament with one Pool A winner qualifying for the finals.
  • The above process will be followed for subsequent weeks for Pools B, C & D.
  • At the end of week 20, there will be 4 finalists – one from each Pool.

The Finals:

Week 21:

  • The Grand Finale will be held with the 4 finalists competing in a knock-out tournament whereby the ultimate champion of the Bond & Beyond Tournament (Gros Cailloux 1st Edition) will emerge.

Scores will be awarded based on performance in each event, with points given for teamwork, completion time, and overall participation. A detailed scoring system will be shared before the event.

The tournament will feature a variety of activities, including physical challenges, problem-solving tasks, and strategic games designed to encourage teamwork and communication.

Teams are encouraged to wear comfortable and company-branded sports attire, footwear and caps suitable for physical activities. Sunscreen and mosquito repellent are recommended.

  • 1st Prize: A trip to Rodrigues for the winning team, including accommodation for 2 nights.
  • 2nd Prize: A relaxing day at a premium hotel for the runner-up team. 
  • 3rd Prize: A catamaran day trip for the third team, including food and beverages on an island.
  • Safety is our top priority. First aid stations will be available, and our staff are trained in first aid and include certified life savers to handle any emergencies promptly. They will conduct safety briefings before each activity to inform participants of safety protocols.
  • A dedicated Health and Safety Manager will be on-site throughout the entire event to oversee procedures and address any concerns.
  • Ambulance services will be readily available to ensure quick access to the nearest hospital in case of injury or medical emergencies on the day of each tournament.
  • The venue is covered by a Public Liability Insurance.
